As you know, we love to cook (and eat) glorious food at Heart of Hall and our aspiration is to share that love with Melbourne! This has naturally led us to join Melbourne’s gastronomic playground, the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, which runs from the 8th to 24 March.
The MFWF started in 1993 with a modest program of 12 events dreamt up by Peter Clemenger AM AO. Today it’s an annual state-wide celebration with over 250 events across Victoria, of which Heart of Hall is one!
As part of the MFWF, there are 25 delicious and exquisite gourmet events in Melbourne’s west. Heart of Hall proudly hosted the launch of Eat Drink Westside on Thursday 7th of February. It was a fabulous event bringing 50+ members of the local foodie community together.

Here we have Sammi from Mumma Knows West along with Triple R's Eat It host Cam Smith getting expert tips from the team at Xuan Banh Cuon (XBC) on how to recreate their delicious Northern Vietnamese dish of banh cuon.

We invite you to join the crew and join us on a sea inspired cooking class. Learn to create outstanding seafood tapas as well as ‘nautical’ cocktails (think rum & burnt sugar). For this event we have teamed up with our seafaring friends from Williamstown, Gem Pier Seafoods to bring you an exciting night out in Newport.
The Menu
Spicy IPA fish taco bites with rum soaked pineapple
Smokey Bloody Mary prawn cocktail
Gin cured ocean trout on blinis with watercress and dill sauce
Latkes with caviar and champagne creme fraiche
Coconut and rum ceviche shooters
Boozy buttered seared scallops
Fried calamari with smokey bourbon aioli
Gin and tonic granita oysters with cucumber and dill

Before opening Heart of Hall Cooking School and Café we knew we had to make fabulous coffee a priority. So we made it our business to choose a coffee roaster who knew their craft and get the best baristas in the West!
I know you are wondering what we actually do so that every cup of coffee is so good? Here’s our secret...
