The humble lamington was invented by a French Chef, for a British gentleman who at the time, was the Governor of Queensland. In typical and Australian fashion, we have taken this culturally diverse treat and made it our own. An Australia Day favourite and a friend to most kids lunch boxes, this delicious treat is easy to make at home. So easy in fact, we are going to teach your kids how to do it.
This school holidays, come on down to Heart of Hall and get your fingers sticky as you whip up an awesome sponge cake, dip it in the most delicious chocolate and finish it off with a sprinkle of coconut. Simple, but delicious and most of all - so much fun!
This class runs for 1 and a half hours and is a great way for the kids to get hands on in the kitchen.
Classes are $50 per child and are recommended for ages 10 - 13 years. Mums, Dads, Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents are welcome to stick around and enjoy a coffee whilst your little ones get hands on. Don't forget to pack a camera.
